Wuthering Heights (1970)
First screened in July 2013
Director: Robert Fuest. Cast: Anna Calder-Marshall, Timothy Dalton, Judy Cornwell, Julian Glover, Ian Ogilvy, Hilary Heath, Harry Andrews, Rosalie Crutchley, James Cossins, Pamela Brown, Aubrey Woods, Hugh Griffith. Screenplay: Patrick Tilley (based on the novel by Emily Brontë).

Twitter Capsule: Too little force or fluency in direction, leads. But art direction, Legrand score, key shots almost put it over.

VOR:   Not the worst Wuthering Heights on film but less influential than the 1939, narrower in scope than the 1992, and less audacious than the 2011. Easiest one to omit from syllabus.
