Where to Invade Next
First screened in October 2015
Director: Michael Moore. Documentary about social policies in the rest of the world that make the United States look pretty abject. Interview subjects include people from Italy, France, Finland, Slovenia, Germany, Portugal, Norway, Tunisia, and Iceland who often look dubious of Moore's film even while appearing in it. Screenplay: Michael Moore.

Twitter Capsule: And whom to stereotype next? In its avowed favoring of hammers over scalpels, beats social analysis to a pulp.

Second Capsule: Moore's film is the worst of Sicko, amplified: a jejune screed about everywhere else being better that still makes US its constant referent.

Third Capsule: If "bar graphs" sans axes or numbers are your thing, or you'd like to see a jollier Sara Goldfarb amble around on a world trek, here you go.

VOR:   Part of me wants to cede value here because Moore is such a useful barometer or lightning rod for cultural feeling; seeing and deciding for yourself might be wise. But it's so sloppy.
