The Whole Wide World
First screened in March 2003
Director: Dan Ireland. Cast: Renée Zellweger, Vincent D'Onofrio, Ann Wedgeworth, Benjamin Mouton, Michael Corbett, Harve Presnell. Screenplay: Dan Ireland (based on the book One Who Walked Alone by Novalyne Price Ellis).

Twitter Capsule: Offbeat subject its strongest asset; that said, I left unconvinced I'd beheld great material. Leads are fine.

VOR:   Tells its story without quite owning the screen. In a way I liked this sense of niche appeal; so many biopics feel like mass coronations, not private tributes. Still: missable.
