Heart in the right place. Head less clearly situated. Never sees as far into characters or history as it wants to.
Second Capsule:
Shaky at times and feels a bit rushed but I respected this more on second pass, especially its edge-of-chaos end.

The legacy of Partition retains all its urgency. Valuable if somewhat hoary attempt to weight Indian characters as fully as the English.
