The Dog
First screened in September 2013
Directors: Frank Keraudren and Allison Berg. Documentary about the stranger-than-fiction life of John Wojtowicz, the would-be bank-robber who became a tabloid sensation in 1972 and inspired the feature film Dog Day Afternoon. Twitter Capsule:
Unprofound but very entertaining doc mines humor and pluck from its merrily infamous subject. At heart, though, a sad tale.

As a devotée and frequent teacher of Dog Day, I'll cherish it. Juicy tale and a great evening's entertainment. Way less boundary-testing than its subject.
