In Brief: Needs a Lubitsch or McCarey but Howard pulls it off. Irksome sexual politics but cast finds fresh notes in colorful script.

VOR: ③  Original, well-shot comic romances led by two not-yet-stars are about as rare today as mermaids. Less so then, but this film brought 'em back.
