In Brief: The clear visual pinnacle of midcentury Disney is also pristinely told, comically sweet, sad, scary, and tuneful.

VOR:   No Disney movie had looked so ravishing since Pinocchio or Bambi and wouldn't again for decades. Respects its audience. Maleficent is genius.
