In Brief: Wishing the fantasies ended faster is a bad sign. Lots wrong with film and musical; just enough is right.

VOR: ②  Adaptation only excerbates Condon's limits and Kander and Ebb's miscalculations. Themes are plenty timely, but other films work them better.
