In Old Chicago
First screened in July 1999 / Most recently screened in December 2015
Director: Henry King. Cast: Tyrone Power, Alice Faye, Don Ameche, Alice Brady, Brian Donlevy, Andy Devine, Tom Brown, June Storey, Phyllis Brooks, Berton Churchill, Sidney Blackmer, Gene Reynolds, Billy Watson, Bobs Watson. Screenplay: Sonya Levien and Lamar Trotti (based on the story "We the O'Learys" by Niven Busch).

Twitter Capsule: Some hokey scenes and rhetoric but goes all in on decrying civic corruption. The fire sequences are pretty stellar.

VOR:   Plenty of old mass-market tropes in how the movie approaches family, rivalry, and politics, even when it packs a charge. Most notable for technical audacity of the climax.
