In Jackson Heights
First screened in September 2015
Director: Frederick Wiseman. Documentary about the oft-described "most diverse neighborhood in the United States," particularly as it withstands corporate assaults on its local businesses and internecine tensions among its multifarious residents.

Twitter Capsule: Most democratic US community abounds with sidewalk pedagogy and filibusters. Everyone tries to save everyone.

VOR:   I always consider a Wiseman film an event, even when they are annual, but some are more prodigious than others. Essential and up-to-the-minute, especially in this election year.
