Ex Libris: The New York Public Library
First screened in September 2017
Director: Frederick Wiseman. Documentary about the institutional structures of and pressures on New York City's public library system, and surveying how patrons, staff, and distinguished guests use and inhabit the facilities and its resources.

Twitter Capsule: Gave me fewer new angles on its subject than most recent Wisemans; even skirts some issues. Still, a capacious overview.

VOR:   Even if Wiseman's insights aren't as revelatory this time, who else would yield this much detail and context? Rich view of a modern U.S. city, too.
