Sometimes a movie is a remarkable, polychromatic effusion of lively, rule-breaking creativity, influential on many of the peers and next-generation artists who experienced it and on members of the wider and wider audience it has managed to amass over decades, and you're so grateful it exists and you find yourself taken aback by its freewheeling inventiveness, and it's also just not really for you. You can't have everything, even when the artistic going is this good! Grade:A–
