Goes to some Places, and at least harbors some ambitions with color and tone. But it's tacky and at odds with itself.

Replete with ideas about filmmaking, and desires to push and test. I respect all that. Undermined, unfortunately, by a story inadequate to them and by usual del Toro problems.
