In Brief: Like Alex's unlikely murder weapon: outsized, inhumane, funny, striking but sterile, says a lot yet too little.

VOR:   Exemplary of the phrase "often imitated, never duplicated." I'm sympathetic to grand claims made for and against it, but it's a formidable work.
