Blade Runner 2049
First screened in October 2017
Director: Denis Villeneuve. Cast: Ryan Gosling, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Harrison Ford, Robin Wright, Jared Leto, Mackenzie Davis, Dave Bautista, Carla Juri, Hiam Abbass, David Dastmalchian, Wood Harris, Barkhad Abdi, Lennie James, Edward James Olmos, Sean Young. Screenplay: Hampton Fancher and Michael Green (based on characters created by Philip K. Dick).

Twitter Capsule: Grand-scale world-building; admires its own majesty more than Scott's did. Top-notch look, sound. Baggy editing.

VOR:   I had some qualms, especially with direction and story, but this is still go-for-broke studio filmmaking, especially with so much riding commercially.
