The First Rainbow Coalition
First screened in October 2019
Director: Ray Santisteban. Documentary about rare and boundary-breaking alliances among three radical groups in 1960s Chicago: the Black Panthers, the Latino-focused group The Young Lords, and the Young Patriots, an organization for poor whites.

Twitter Capsule: Potent study of multiracial radical coalitions in late-60s Chicago. Needs bigger canvas? End too vague.

VOR:   This history is important, under-reported, and badly in need of reviving today. I wish the film cut deeper and encompassed more, but it has value.
