The Salesman
aka Forushande
First screened in October 2016 / Most recently screened in May 2017
Director: Asghar Farhadi. Cast: Shahab Hosseini, Taraneh Alidoosti, Babak Karimi, Farid Sajjadi Hosseini, Shirin Aghakashi, Mina Sadati, Mojtaba Pirzadeh, Sam Valipour, Emad Emami, Mehdi Koushki, Alireza Rofougaran. Screenplay: Asghar Farhadi (inspired by if not based on the play Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller).

Twitter Capsule: Complex story about sexual assault and mercenary prosecution is also a deft meditation on identity as a performance.

VOR:   Rewatching and teaching the film have only further revealed its nuances. Rich in characterization and in lightly-worn density of themes.
