Of Human Hearts
First screened in June 2013
Director: Clarence Brown. Cast: Walter Huston, James Stewart, Beulah Bondi, John Carradine, Guy Kibbee, Charles Coburn, Ann Rutherford, Charley Grapewin, Clem Bevans, Gene Lockhart, Leona Roberts, Arthur Aylesworth, Sterling Holloway, Gene Reynolds, Leatrice Joy Gilbert, Charles Peck. Screenplay: Bradbury Foote (based on the story "Benefits Forgot" by Honore Morrow).

Twitter Capsule: Abe Lincoln doesn't like it when you go to war and don't even write your ma. Typical, anodyne Clarence Brown pap.

VOR:   As with The Gorgeous Hussy, it's startling the affinity some 30s-era Hollywood films felt to founding moments in our history. A bit silly, and the films negligible, but interesting.
