Jason Bourne
First screened in July 2016
Director: Paul Greengrass. Cast: Matt Damon, Alicia Vikander, Tommy Lee Jones, Vincent Cassel, Riz Ahmed, Julia Stiles, Scott Shepherd, Ato Essandoh, Bill Camp, Kaya Yuzuki, Jozef Aoki, Stephen Kunken, Vinzenz Kiefer, Gregg Henry, Robert Stanton, Matthew O'Neill, Lizzie Phillips, Trevor White, Joe Kennard, Miguel Alves-Khan, Duran Fulton Brown, Charles Jarman, Richard Nuñez, Sonny Robertson, James Dormuth, Dexter Emery. Screenplay: Paul Greengrass and Christopher Rouse (based on characters increasingly tangential to those created by Robert Ludlum).

Twitter Capsule: Tired thriller about dour, conservatively dressed people who run, shoot, drive, swipe cards, stare meaningfully, etc.

Second Capsule: In case you assumed, as I did, that a bad Jason Bourne movie is still better than other bad movies, that is sadly not true, or only barely.

VOR:   Dispiriting how limp and vestigial this is. That happens when you fire writers. Even relations to anxious global ambiance has become lazy and cosmetic.
