I Lost My Body
aka J'ai perdu mon corps
First screened in January 2020
Director: Jérémy Clapin. Voice Cast: Hakim Faris, Victoire Du Bois, Patrick d'Assumçao, Bellamine Abdelmalek, Hichem Mesbah, Myriam Loucif, Alfonso Arfi, Maud Le Guenedal, Nicole Favart, Quentin Baillot. Screenplay: Jérémy Clapin and Guillaume Laurant (based on the graphic novel Happy Hand by Guillaume Laurant).

Twitter Capsule: It's not Ice Age 9. Great! But is there a movie here? Script, look are pretty messy. Self-pity masked as poignancy.

VOR:   The severed-hand premise is distinctive, as is the building thesis about diaspora as permanent self-divorce. But a lot here is shaky and stale.
