Hannah
First screened in September 2017
Director: Andrea Pallaoro. Cast: Charlotte Rampling, André Wilms, Jean-Michel Balthazar, Simon Bisschop, Stéphanie Van Vyve, Luca Avallone. Screenplay: Andrea Pallaoro and Orlando Tirado.

Twitter Capsule: Split. Ended up impressed, albeit coldly. There's a reason ads aren't foregrounding plot. Seems broad, reveals specificity.

Second Capsule: Rampling's good, though for a long while I felt the film was taking my fascination with her totally for granted. My dream: Joanne Woodward.

VOR:   Holds to a long, slow arc of revelation that takes some fortitude on the parts of both filmmaker and audience. Still, some standard festival-film tropes.
