Gay Chorus Deep South
First screened in June 2019
Director: David Charles Rodrigues. Documentary about the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus making a concert tour of the U.S. South to foster compassion for the country's embattled LGBTQ population.

Twitter Capsule: Sometimes admirably ambiguous, sometimes incoherent in politics and themes. Poignant scenes, but big lapses.

VOR:   Rare social-justice documentary that might play well to viewers whose sympathy it doesn't presume. Nothing new formally, though. Not great on race.
