Enchanted April
I've seen this movie multiple times and never recorded when!
Director: Mike Newell. Cast: Josie Lawrence, Miranda Richardson, Joan Plowright, Polly Walker, Alfred Molina, Jim Broadbent, Michael Kitchen, Neville Phillips, Davide Manuli, Vittorio Duse, Adriana Facchetti, Anna Longhi, Stephen Beckett, Matthew Radford. Screenplay: Peter Barnes (based on the novel by Elizabeth von Arnim).

Twitter Capsule: The movie couldn't be clearer about wanting to be a simple, wisteria-scented respite. And so it is. Nothing more.

VOR:   Its success—possibly even its existence—testify to the particular market that Merchant Ivory coaxed back to the movies in the early 90s. Lighter than their work, though.
