Cats
First screened in December 2019
Director: Tom Hooper. Cast: Francesca Hayward, Robbie Fairchild, Judi Dench, Idris Elba, Jennifer Hudson, Rebel Wilson, James Corden, Ian McKellen, Jason DeRulo, Laurie Davidson, Taylor Swift, Steven McRae, Naoimh Morgan, Danny Collins, Mette Towley, Larry Bourgeois, Lauren Bourgeois, Daniela Norman, Freya Rowley, Jaih Betote, Jonadette Carpio, Melissa Madden-Gray, Bluey Robinson, Zizi Strallen, Eric Underwood. Screenplay: Lee Hall and Tom Hooper (based on the stage musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber, itself adapted from Old Possum's Books of Practical Cats by T.S. Eliot, who is rolling in his grave, and I'm not mad about that).

Twitter Capsule: That "best edited" scene from Bohemian Rhapsody, half-covered in fur, with putrid colors, senseless angles, shocking songs.

Second Capsule: A garish Project Runway look whose designer insists on hand-gluing 5000 "unconventional" materials and then doesn't finish.

VOR:   Obviously, this cataclysmic misfire will be with us for years on its deliriously dubious terms, but I'm not equating notoriety with "value."
