One Child Nation
First screened in February 2020
Directors: Nanfu Wang and Jialing Zhang. Documentary about the history and legacy of China's "one-child policy," showcasing the destruction it wrought on the lives and families of so many Chinese citizens, icnluding the filmmaker's own.

Twitter Capsule: Informative dive into a secretive and yet globally infamous policy. Cagey about problems it was designed to fight.

VOR:   Lots of valuable fact-finding. Captures some powerful testimonies. Still, focus could be tighter. Unsure about interpolating Wang's own motherhood.
