Director: Raymond Depardon. Documentary record of psychiatric evaluations in a Lyonnais asylum, where French law requires that involuntary inmates be reassessed for possible release within 12 days of their commitment.

Twitter Capsule: Depardon retains his clinically observational style, capturing some haunting patient-judge exchanges. Might he offer more?

VOR:   A valuable record from sociological perspectives, and possibly a useful document for advocating a policy change. Not a new style; still has limits.
